Case Load:
We perform surgery 2 days a week currently with the hopes of adding an additional day to our schedule. Currently we see 15-20 patients per doctor a day.

Additional Comments:
We are a family-friendly privately owned small animal practice in Oxford, Connecticut. We are currently seeking a candidate for an associate veterinarian position at our hospital. We have a staff to doctor ratio of 3:1. The clinic was established in 2022 and is continuing to grow exponentially and are in the process of building a new facility that is likely to open in 2027. Digital radiography along with dental radiography and ultrasound capabilities are available as well as in-house lab equipment to compliment our outside reference laboratory offering. We have traveling ultrasound offerings for abdominal ultrasounds as well as echocardiograms and a traveling surgeon for outpatient orthopedic procedures. We perform surgery (mainly soft tissue) and dentals with a separate dental suite. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5:30pm and Saturdays 8 am to 12 pm. No after hours or on call requirements and we transfer any hospitalized patients to a local 24-hour referral center for continued after hours care. We have the distinct honor of being local to several 24-hour referral centers to allow for various options to transfer for more advanced cases and care. We pride ourselves on our family-oriented environment and emphasize a work life balance for our staff. We feel client communication is a critical component to successful care of our patients and work to offer gold standard medicine for each patient. We try to keep a light hearted, jovial atmosphere when possible as we understand the challenges and need for balance to the serious nature of our work. Staff is also encouraged to attend CE as education of staff as well as clients is a staple to our philosophy of practice.
