Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to both large and companion animals. Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop effective treatment plans. Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative healthcare measures. Perform routine and complex surgical procedures. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure seamless patient care and a positive work environment. Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine.
Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited university. Licensure: Active veterinary license in the state of Nebraska and South Dakota (or eligibility to obtain one by start date). Skills: Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate approach to animal care and strong empathy for clients. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Our large animal clients are primarily cow-calf operations with individual care provided at the ranch.
