At Good Shepherd Veterinary Hospital established in 2002, in Charleston, WV we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team. Our hospital offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, including diagnostics, treatments, surgeries, and preventative care for dogs, cats, avian, and some exotics. The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited institution, be able to secure a West Virginia Veterinary License, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to animal care. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, performing surgical procedures, administering vaccinations, and providing guidance on preventative care measures. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, collaborating with technicians and other staff members, and providing emergency care as needed. Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Diagnosis and Treatment: examining animals, diagnosing illnesses and injuries, and developing effective treatment plans
• Preventative Care: administering vaccinations, conducting routine physical exams, and providing guidance on preventative care measures
• Client Communication: explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and providing education on animal care
• Surgery Experience: Preferred but not required.
• Be available to work at least 32 hours a week Monday-Friday.

Qualifications
