Job Summary: GentlestPaws is seeking compassionate, dedicated veterinarians to provide in-home euthanasia services. As part of our team, you'll offer gentle end-of-life care that prioritizes animal welfare and emotional support for pet families. This role requires traveling locally to clients' homes, managing euthanasia procedures sensitively, and guiding families through the process with warmth and understanding. As an independent contractor, you’ll have the flexibility to choose your own hours and service area.
Duties:
Provide compassionate in-home euthanasia services for pets, ensuring minimal stress for animals and their families.
Communicate empathetically with pet owners, offering guidance and emotional support during difficult decisions.
Administer sedation and euthanasia medications humanely and effectively.
Maintain precise, confidential medical records for each appointment.
Collaborate closely with our support team to schedule and manage appointments efficiently.
Stay informed about best practices in euthanasia and palliative veterinary care through ongoing education.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to safely lift and move animals weighing up to 50 lbs.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in sensitive situations.
Prior experience in euthanasia or end-of-life veterinary care is highly desirable but not required.

Salary:
$100/hour (avg), but dependent on location.
