Case Load:
We are truly a mixed animal clinic! Large animal work is 75% beef cattle, with the remaining 25% divided amongst equine, small ruminants, and swine. Doctors can choose their desired ratio of small:large animal patients.

Valley Veterinary Center of Cherokee, Iowa is searching for a full-time small animal veterinarian to join a well-established eight doctor practice.  Strong consideration will also be given to those with mixed animal or large animal predominant interests. The practice is privately owned and consists of 50% large animal and 50% small animal clients, offering surgical, medical, emergency, and ambulatory services.  The VVC community is comprised of five locations, two large animal haul-in facilities, and a new haul in facility dedicated to equine patients. Large animal resources include portable manual chutes, two portable hydraulic chutes, two portable hydraulic tub/chutes, large animal surgery/working room, and working chute/alley paired with a hydraulic tilt table. Our small animal practice utilizes two exam rooms, one surgery room, and three kennel rooms (feline, hospital, and canine separately). The capabilities of this clinic include gas anesthesia, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laser therapy, dental machine, and in-house blood/urine analyzers.
