Responsibilities:
Established small animal veterinary practice in Chadds Ford PA seeking VMD/DVM for associate position. Scheduled about 34hrs/week for 30 min duration appointments and routine surgery as needed. We have DR radiographs, BP, EKG, PulseOx, Dental unit, Cryo unit, Inhouse laboratory, chip reader, great staff and clientele.
Qualifications
VMD/DVM; PA license. Good communication, positive attitude, able to work well with others. I am open to new ideas and new equipment, if affordable. Hope for long term connection.

Salary:
$100,000/year plus pro-sal monthly bonus
Percentage Based Salary Info:
I calculate the amount over what you earn and give a percentage of that as a bonus each month.

Case Load:
Healthy: routine, vaccine, nail trim, anal glands Sick: We do initial workup (BW, rads, AUS) with option to refer to appropriate specialist if needed. Skin/ears we do smears and manage most without referral. Surgery: Just routine spay, neuter, lump removal, dentals. No dental radiograph, but can be added if associate is interested. Emergency: Usually refer to one of the 24 hr facilities nearby. We may stabilize if needed.

Additional Comments:
We do not do orthopedics per se, but I have bandaged and managed distal limb breaks successfully. We are housed in a 1700s barn that has been refurbished to provide 2 exam rooms, surgery area, radiograph area and Lab station. There is a small kennel but we do not board. We have a large "back area" that is not finished. It houses laundry, supplies and one large run for giant dogs.
