Responsibilities:
Small animal veterinarian needed to join our team, responsibilities include seeing routine and sick exams and performing spay/neuter surgeries. Candidate will be well mentored. We also see some exotics and candidate will be allowed to see as much as they want or not. We have regular hours and no after hour emergency or on-call hours. If you want to learn, but still want work/life balance, we could be a good fit for you!
Qualifications
Candidate should feel comfortable with some basic exam and surgical skills with cats and dogs. Candidate should also feel comfortable diagnosing and treating the more common diseases in cats and dogs but will be mentored. Candidate will be expected to pass the NAVLE and also to get a license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Ohio. Candidate will also be expected to graduate an accredited college of veterinary medicine.

Salary:
85K for 4-4.5 day work week. Hourly salary or shorter work week could be arranged, looking for candidate willing to work at least 3 days.

Case Load:
We are usually scheduled around three surgeries in a period of three hours, that gives us plenty of time to get through them. We see our appointments in the afternoon, in twenty minute openings. We do try to schedule more time for sick appointments and multiple pet appointments, and of course we do have some clients calling in with same day emergencies. Every day we have at least two vets working so the candidate would not be working alone, and if things get too busy we do refer some calls to the ER clinic.

Additional Comments:
We have in-house digital radiography, dental x-ray, lab equipment, cold laser therapy, tonovet, phovea, and fluorescent light therapy. The clinic is conveniently located 45 minutes northwest of the Pittsburgh Airport and 45 minutes south of Youngstown Ohio. Its a great little community with a lot of heart!
