Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and assessments for small animals, including dogs, cats, and other domestic pets, both at our hospital and during house calls.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and illnesses, utilizing the latest medical techniques and equipment.
- Perform routine surgeries, such as spaying and neutering, as well as more complex procedures, with utmost care and precision.
- Administer vaccinations, prescribe medications, and provide preventive care to ensure the overall health and well-being of the animals.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Provide guidance and education to pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients, ensuring proper documentation of treatments and procedures.
- Collaborate with a team of veterinary professionals to deliver exceptional and compassionate care to our clients and their pets.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary license and registration in the state.
- Proven experience working as a veterinarian, with a focus on small animals.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in performing surgeries and conducting medical procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners.
