Responsibilities:
Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists (PVS) is seeking a full time or part time emergency clinician to join our expanding emergency and critical care service. PVS is a 24/7 emergency/specialty practice in Glen Mills, PA whose mission is to create a medicine first, patient first culture as a veterinarian owned hospital. Our emergency and critical care team is made up of an exceptional group of ten amazing clinicians. Five out of nine doctors have eight or more years of ECC experience, two have three and one doctor completed their first year in practice in July. We are supported by a team of exceptional ECC nurses. 70% of Pinnacle nurses are certified and four are VTS nurses. We have a dedicated nursing educator who is a VTS in ECC to help advance the knowledge of our ECC nursing team. For an average of 10-12 inpatients per night, we have four nurses and an assistant on the overnight team. Patient care is a priority of ours and because of our philosophy we attract nurses who feel the same. We seek to create an alternative option for veterinarians in the corporate dominated specialty market in Philadelphia. This alternative affords the freedom of autonomy for doctors to make on the ground decisions without layers of management, recognizes and rewards emergency doctors as critical members of our team, and an opportunity to work in a smaller, collaborative environment that feels more like a family than just a place to work.
