Responsibilities:
Patient Examinations: Conducting physical exams, diagnosing illnesses, and recommending treatments.
Client Education: Advising clients on pet care, nutrition, and behavior throughout all stages of care.
Surgery: Performing surgical procedures, such as spaying, neutering, mass removals, and if capable the occasional exploratory or more involved procedures.
Dentistry: Not required, but an ideal candidate would have interest in performing COHAT procedures
Preventive Care: Providing vaccinations, dental care, and parasite prevention.
Qualifications
DVM with the ability to gain licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We would also consider internship opportunities for existing students.

Salary:
$135,000 - $200,000 (depending on hours and ProSal arrangement)
Percentage Based Salary Info:
We offer ProSal with a strong base and tiered production, with most professional services (e.g., exams, surgery, dentistry) at 30%.

Case Load:
We book at 30min increments for most appointments, and we are at around 67% canine, 31% feline, 2% pocket pets. We will see most daytime urgent care cases for our clients, but do not take walk-ins and typically schedule new clients at select times 2-3 weeks in advance. We are open daytime hours and do not provide overnight care. Our support staff ratio is typically high at 5.5:1, and each DVM has a dedicated team assisting them. We follow Fear Free protocols throughout all of our touch points.

Additional Comments:
our new facility (Granby Veterinary Hospital) is a full-service location with 8,000 sq. ft, multiple dental suites, and and expanded surgery suite. We have 11 exam rooms and space to add new services (e.g., endoscopy and CT). Our original location (Ghent Veterinary Hospital) is approximately 2,400 sq. ft., and is able to perform similar functions as Granby but with more limited space (e.g., 4 exam rooms).
