Responsibilities:
Pennridge Animal Hospital is looking for an associate veterinarian to join our doctor team! Our passion is to provide top-notch care without sacrificing the joy of practicing medicine. Gone are the days of feeling like a number—we're all about building genuine connections with our clients, their furry companions, and with our team (while maintaining a good work-life balance!) Our doctors see a mixture of appointments/examinations and there are opportunities for a surgical caseload as well! Our practice has a heavy focus on education and preventive care, so a good portion of our caseload is wellness appointments, with a mixture of medical appointments as well.
Qualifications
We are a flexible and team-oriented group, that is ready to take on a new graduate and proper mentorship - so our only qualification requirement is that you have graduated and obtained your veterinary license in PA!

Newly graduated veterinarians may apply for this position
Salary:
$100,000-$140,000 depending upon experience level
Percentage Based Salary Info:
We offer a competitive base salary as above, but also include 20% production bonus above and beyond that salary! (Which all of our doctors regularly earn!)
Start Date:
July 2024
Practice Type:
Small Animal
Employees:
8 Veterinarians And 35 Technicians
How to Apply:
Now taking applications via email at potaffey@yahoo.com, or to our practice email at pennridgeah@gmail.com. If you want to work at a privately owned practice where we truly care about you as a veterinarian and as a person - please reach out! We would love to meet you and to show you our practice!
Case Load:
Our practice is what I would describe as busy, but manageable! We see a mixture of 20-30 minute appointments, depending upon if they are wellness, medical, or recheck exams. Our doctors see an average of 10-14 appointments in an 8-9 hour day (depending upon the doctor) - but our new graduates would start off seeing hour long appointments, with ample mentorship, until they were more comfortable to increase their volume and load! In surgery, we perform an average of 2-4 soft tissue procedures per day (spays, neuters, mass removals, and some urgent procedures based upon doctor comfort), plus 1-2 dental procedures, and daycases as determined by the doctor. We have trained several new and recent graduates over the years to be comfortable in surgery, and to even grow to enjoy it (I remember how scary it was in the beginning) - so even if surgery seems daunting to you as a new graduate (or recent!) - we can help!
Benefits:
We offer a comprehensive package including dental insurance, vision insurance, health coverage (80% employer paid), optional aflac supplemental insurance, ample paid time off, and 401(k) matching. Our time off includes a paid day off on your birthday (no one should have to work on their birthday!), and we have lots of other ancillary benefits too - such as financial consulting and budgeting, an employee assistance program with multiple programs to support mental health, lawyer consultation to assist our team with will planning, and so much more! Our practice truly cares about our team and wants to ensure that we support you in and out of the practice.
