Responsibilities:
Diagnose and Treat Animals: Examine animals to diagnose their health problems and perform medical procedures such as vaccinations, dental work, and surgeries.
Emergency Care: Provide immediate medical attention to animals in urgent need of care, including those involved in accidents or suffering from acute illnesses.
Prescribe Medication: Determine and prescribe appropriate medications, vaccinations, or other treatments necessary to treat or prevent disease in animals.
Surgical Procedures: Perform surgical operations, including neutering and spaying, removing tumors, and repairing injuries.
Client Education: Educate pet owners on proper care, feeding, and preventative measures to promote the welfare of their pets.
Follow-up Care: Conduct follow-up visits to monitor the health of animals, adjust treatments, and ensure recovery from surgery or illness.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient history, treatments, surgeries, and outcomes.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with veterinary best practices, ethical guidelines, and state regulations regarding animal care and treatment.
Team Collaboration: Work with veterinary technicians, assistants, and other professional staff to provide top-notch care and service.
Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education, seminars, and conferences.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
Valid California veterinary license.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and the veterinary team.
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine
Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.

Percentage Based Salary Info:
Standard ProSal model, 20% or base whichever is higher. No negative accrual.
