Additional Comments:
Erickson Vet has been an institution in Chico for over 70 years. We are looking for a veterinarian who will grow to be a pillar of our local community. Our clients are special, the majority of our clients are multigenerational. Our staff have deep roots in the community and so do our clients. We currently have 4 vets and 5 RVTs on staff, with a support staff of 15. Our doctors come from all walks of life and we would like someone to continue to contribute to our collegial atmosphere. We are currently open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm. Erickson Vet is AAHA accredited and our support staff have gone through fear-free certification. Come see Chico, where there is a small town feel of little America. Are you a foodie? There's tons of great food options around. Chico is a foodie town, embracing the farm-to-table approach. Hiking? Boating? Fishing? Tons of those within a short drive. Great schools for kids and of course the famous Chico State! Also a lot of our staff are health-conscious, having a regular hiking club going. Before the pandemic, we actually did a tough mudder together! We have a newly remodeled hospital with 6 exam rooms, separate dog and cat waiting rooms, a large surgery suite, a large 2 table dental suite, and isolation ward. We are a paperless hospital. We use Ezyvet and Vetradar for our record keeping. Our blood, rads, and dental rads are completely integrated with Ezyvet. We have computers in each room and all the staff use Ipads for ease of documentation. We have Idexx digital x-ray and a full in-house Idexx lab suite. Year after year, we invest significantly in cutting-edge equipment to ensure our hospital remains at the forefront of veterinary care. Our commitment to continuous improvement leads us to attend conferences such as VMX (Veterinary Meeting & Expo) and WVC (Western Veterinary Conference), where we stay informed about the latest advancements in medicine and methodology.
