Responsibilities:
Medical Examinations: Conduct thorough physical examinations of animals to assess their overall health, identify any existing health issues, and provide preventative care.
Diagnosis and Treatment: Utilizing medical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify illnesses, injuries, or conditions in animals. Developing and implementing treatment plans, which may involve medication, surgery, or other medical interventions.
Vaccinations and Preventative Care: Administering vaccinations to prevent common diseases and recommending preventative care measures, such as parasite control and dental care, to maintain the health of animals.
Surgical Procedures: Performing surgical procedures when necessary, ranging from routine spaying/neutering to more complex surgeries to address injuries or medical conditions.
Client Communication: Effectively communicating with pet owners to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care measures. Providing guidance on nutrition, behavior, and general animal care.

Case Load:
Scheduled appointments. 20 minutes well. 40 minutes sick. 8-hour shifts. One hour is scheduled for lunch break. The hospital closes at 6 pm. Patient caseload varies with day.

Montgomery Animal Hospital is a small animal practice, providing excellent quality care in a compassionate environment for over 60 years and relocated 7 years ago to a brand new facility conveniently located in Rockville, close to the 95 and 270 corridors. Our practice is very well equipped with new digital dental radiology, digital radiology, ultrasound via traveling ultrasonography, and cold laser therapy. The technicians are well seasoned and a cohesive, happy group. We love what we do and are excited to hire a new Veterinarian to join our team.
