Veterinary general practitioner wanted – 110-150k depending on experience.
Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital is looking to add a general practitioner to the team. Hickory is a family-owned, third generation, private practice located in the Philadelphia suburbs of southern Montgomery County, PA. Hickory is a full-service hybrid general practice, emergency, and specialty facility that has been rapidly expanding over the past 3 years as a counterpoint to corporatization in the region. We are looking for like-minded individuals who share the belief that veterinary hospitals are best in the hands of veterinarians.
We are a 24/7 facility with 18+ full time doctors and approximately 120 employees. The facility is equipped with full dentistry equipment including digital radiography, fully stocked and staffed pharmacy, in-house laboratory and cytology, 64-slice CT, 1.5T MRI, underwater treadmill, state of the art surgical suites and equipment, ultrasound, oxygen cages, endoscopy, etc. Current specialties include surgery, neurology, oncology, rehabilitation, behavior, and rotating radiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, reproduction, cardiology, and dentistry creating a wonderful aspect of patient care and continuity.
The hospital values work-life balance and sustainability. We are open for general practice appointments 7 days a week allowing for a great variance for scheduling flexibility. We value patient care above all else, and doctors strive to work together as a general practice, emergency, and specialty team to provide the best. General practice dentistry and soft tissue surgery is a large part of the job and there is plenty of support to continue patient care.
Qualifications
New graduates will be considered for a mentorship in ER/GP to begin leading to a full time GP position
Candidates looking for full time GP should have 2-3 years experience as well as surgical and dental experience ideally.

Salary:
110k-150k base salary depending on experience + production bonuses
Percentage Based Salary Info:
Production bonuses given monthly

Case Load:
Busy, 30 minute appointments that days have same day sick appointments blocked off for sick appointments. Usually 8-10 hours shifts with 1-1.5hr lunch/call back time blocked off in the middle of the day. Surgical days scheduled weekly/biweekly depending on case load.
