Practice compassionate, progressive, thorough, thoughtful, and team-based medicine taking care of a wide range of clientele and patients. Collaborate with the whole team (technicians, CSRs, and other doctors) to participate in a culture of growth and positivity. See wellness and sick appointments. Surgery and dentistry.

Case Load:
Spectrum of care because geographic location results in a wide variety of caseload. Many clients willing to do full work ups and recommended care. 30 minute sick and well visits. Surgery scheduled as full day so that the doctor does not have to be in appointments later in the day. Doctors scheduled for 5 hour appointment shifts to allow for ample time to analyze lab results, write records, and client communication both before and after a shift. Our goal is for doctors to work a humane schedule allowing them to have time in their personal life.

Additional Comments:
Surgery: Spay, Neuter, Mass Removal and other Soft Tissue procedures. Dentistry (with full mouth dental rads and all extractions performed by doctors). Board-certified surgeon for more advanced procedures when needed. Board-certified radiologist performs ultrasounds weekly for patients and referral clients. Appointments: 2.5 technicians/assistants per doctor per shift. Bi-weekly staff meetings to improve communication, patient care, and education. Practice Management Software: Impromed. Radiology Consult Services for radiographs whenever needed. Equipment: Digital radiology (including dental), Abaxis CBC machine, Idexx Catalyst Chemistry analyzer, Voyant Vessel Sealer for surgical procedures, Bovie Electrocautery, two multi-parameter anesthesia monitors, PetMap monitor, Doppler blood pressure machines, 3 hand held pulsoximetry units, small ultrasound for FAST scans, in-house urine culture, surgical positioning and heat support equipment. Wilmington Animal Hospital has been serving the North Wilmington community since the 1940s. We practice individualized and thoughtful medicine. Doctors have autonomy to practice as they choose to, as long as the medicine is high quality and patients are well cared for. Located right off of I95 and 495, WAH is easy to get to from Philadelphia, Chester County, Northern Maryland, Southern New Jersey, and New Castle County, Delaware.
