Responsibilities:
General practitioner would be seeing canines and felines for wellness as well as sick visits. If there is an interest in general surgery and dentistry there is opportunity for but not required. Full time position would include 4 weekdays and Saturdays.
Qualifications
4 year veterinary degree Internship is a plus but not required New graduates welcome- Mentorship provided by Penn grad -internship-trained with 29 years of experience, Cornell grad internship-trained with 5 years of experience, LSU grad with 9 years of experience, and St. George's grad with 14 years experience

Case Load:
On an average day we will see 25 patients for appointments and 3-4 patients for surgery/dentals. Appointments will range from vaccinations, ear infections, skin allergies, vomiting and diarrhea, to metabolic conditions such as Diabetes, Cushings disease, Addisons, thyroid, and to neoplasia. Surgeries include spays, neuters, prophylactic gastropexy, mass excisions, digit amputations, enucleations, and cystotomies. We do not perform orthopedic procedures. Our approach to cases is a collaborative effort, using both "old school" tried-and-true and "new" school cutting-edge medicine to provide the best care for each pet.

Additional Comments:
We are located in a suburban area of Monmouth County, NJ, close to the Jersey shore. We have a 3200sq ft building. It has 4 exam rooms, full surgical and dental suites, radiology, portable ultrasound, and in- house Idexx lab equipment. We utilize both Idexx and Antech labs for the majority of our lab submissions. We have an in-house pharmacy and carry a small stock of diets. We are looking forward to building a brand new 9200sq foot state of the art hospital projected to be open in the spring of 2025. It will have 5 exam rooms and a designated comfort room with separate exit. It will have all upgraded surgical and dental suites, laboratory, and pharmacy. There will be a large central treatment area with an associate doctors office, large break/meeting room, separate wards, dog runs, bathing area, and isolation. This particular area of Monmouth County is undergoing tremendous growth with several new luxury condo complexes located within minutes of our location. We have great working relationships with local referral hospitals such as Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, Garden State Veterinary Specialists, and NorthStar Vets. TouchStone has a strong relationship with working K9s. We provide low cost care for many of our local handlers/police departments and also the United States Park Police dogs.
