Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include reproductive work, foaling and neonatal medicine, emergencies, and general veterinary care of the farm's resident mares, foals, yearlings, stallions and retirees.
New graduates are welcome to apply, we are a 2014 and a 2021 graduate and are happy to mentor a new grad.
Weekends and on-call will be shared equally between the veterinarians. The workload is generally heavy in the spring and summer during the busy foaling and breeding season and slower during the off-season with shorter days and shorter work weeks.
Qualifications
Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania (or the ability to obtain a PA license) is required.

Case Load:
There are a great variety of cases seen from minor things such as small wounds, corneal ulcers and hoof abscesses to more complicated cases like dystocias, dummy and septic foals, medical neonatal diarrhea cases and medical colics. We treat most medical cases in house and therefore it is a great opportunity for learning and growth.
