Responsibilities:
We are looking for a veterinarian who shares our practice philosophy of providing the best possible care for our clients and patients in a compassionate and caring environment. We stress good communication skills as well as empathy and understanding of our clients’ needs. We are a full-service hospital with state-of-the-art equipment that offers a wide range of veterinary services in the following areas. Routine health care including wellness exams, lab. work, treatment of injuries and illnesses. Diagnostics include exams, lab work and imaging. Routine surgeries include spays/neuters mass removals exploratories with foreign body removal, splenectomies and prophylactic gastropexies. Dental services include digital radiography cleanings and tooth extractions. We also provide OFA certification radiography. Graduating Veterinarians are encouraged to apply as mentoring with be provided if desired. Work week id 4 – 4 ½ days. No emergencies, No weekends, no on call. We believe in a true life/ work balance.
Qualifications
VMD/DVM with current Pa License

$100,000-$120,000

Case Load:
We see 20-30 patients a day.Our appointment hours are from 1pm-5:30 pm. Types are wellness exam and illnesses. We do surgery in the morning from 9am-12 noon usually routine spays, neuters, dentals and mass removals. We average 4 surgeries per morning 3 days a week.

Our area allows for plenty of outdoor activities including hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, bicycling, motorcycling. Within 2 hours you can be in the Poconos, Watkins Glenn, NY. Within 2-3 hrs. you can be in Philadelphia or New York City. Harrisburg is only 1 hour away. We have state of the art healthcare facilities nearby, Geisinger Medical center is 10 miles away UPMC is 30 minutes away. Northumberland has a small town appeal people are friendly and very outgoing. Great community to raise a family. Potential for future ownership.
