Responsibilities:
Sudbury Animal Hospital is a general small animal practice for dogs and cats. Veterinarians see appointments, perform medical work-ups, consult with pet owners. General surgery and dentistry is also a job requirement.
Qualifications
V.M.D. or equivalent. Must have an interest in surgery. We are happy to mentor a new or recent graduate.

Compensation is based on the Pro-Sal model. There is a base salary with a bonus if the doctor out-performs expected revenue generated.

Case Load:
We are an exclusively canine and feline practice, with a distribution of approximately 80% dogs and 20% cats. We use flex time scheduling for our appointments. 30 minutes for sick visits, 20 or 30 minutes for annual physicals (depending on the pet's age), and 10 minutes for blood draw and vaccine only appointments. Each day is a mix of appointment hours and time for work ups and phone consultations. The position includes one morning of surgery per week. Extra time will be given to new graduates to perform their appointments.

Additional Comments:
We have an extensive in-house laboratory, digital radiography and digital dental radiography, electronic medical records using cornerstone software, Class IV laser, traveling cardiologist and internal medicine specialist who come in weekly to perform our echocardiograms and abdominal ultrasounds. Sudbury is an affluent community located 25 miles west of Boston. It has excellent schools and lots of fields and conservation land to enjoy. It has easy access to hiking and biking trails, ponds and rivers, and all that Boston has to offer. It is also a short drive to New Hampshire skiing and Cape Cod beaches.
