The expected schedule would include 4-4.5 weekdays and every other Saturday morning until noon. We see 20 minute appointments, keeping adequate same day appointment availability for urgent care appointments for current patients of our practice. The days are generally a good mix between wellness appointments, follow up appointments for chronically managed cases, and urgent care/sick appointments. A typical workday would be seeing appointments from about 8:40am to noon, performing 1-2 surgeries (depending on surgical proficiency, surgery length, etc), and then seeing appointments from about 3-6pm.
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, matching retirement plan, CE, and more.
Additional Comments:
We offer a fully computerized record system with the capability to access the entire system remotely, allowing charts to be completed and lab results called from out of the office when needed. However, our staff is trained to consult with the doctor on staff when questions arise. Our facilities offer in-house blood work capabilities, advanced surgical and anesthetic monitoring equipment, digital radiology, ultrasound, cryotherapy, tonometry, and cold laser therapy.  We perform all routine surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, mass/tumor removals, mastectomies, dental surgery/extractions, eyelid surgeries, enucleations, toe/tail amputations, c-sections, bladder surgery, etc. We perform more advanced abdominal surgery (gastrotomies, splenectomies, enterotomies, etc) on a limited basis. We work closely with a few local rescues, performing pot-bellied pig spays/neuters and performing heartworm treatments on rescue dogs. We strongly value work-life balance, and our entire team routinely finishes work and leaves for the day by close (6pm Monday-Thursday, 5pm Friday). After hours emergencies are referred to nearby 24-hour emergency and speciality hospitals.
