Responsibilities:
More than just a Mixed Animal Practice!
Are you tired of navigating the ins and out of veterinary job ads? We are too! Look, we are a keep-it-real, drive it forward, team of people who love where we live, who we work with and what we do. Let us break it down for you!
Who: We are a two-location, two-doctor (two mommas) practice with an awesome support team in the heart of Kansas. We are all about family and living and working rural.
Where: We eat, sleep, breathe, play, and work in cow-calf country in rural Kansas. Literally more cows than people (like ten cows to each person) and we are close to a large, local college town for people-needs (AKA great restaurants, shopping, fun social events and general suburban awesome).
What: We are truly mixed. For example, our current “number of species seen in one day” record is eight. Overall, we see a lot of beef cattle and cats and dogs along with numerous small ruminants, exotics (hoof stock and pocket pets), horses, whitetail deer, camelids and anything but primates. Primates are a no-go for us.
Why: The whole truth. This work involves less than ideal weather, equally shared on-call hours and some hard work. So why do we do this? We have the equipment (plus some cool toys) to get the work done and full facilities to work safely, but it's really about the PEOPLE. The team and our clients make our days fun, buffer the struggles, and give our job purpose.
What we can promise:
? True teamwork and support. This team wants you, us, and the whole practice to succeed.
? Hands-on Mentorship. We will coach, lead, and help you become the doctor you want to be.
? Diverse caseload. Eight species is pretty good, but there are more for us to work on.
? Room to grow. We encourage new ideas and to develop interests and skills within the practice.
? Purpose. We want you to feel your work has purpose and you feel a part of your community.

Case Load:
We are a two-location practice in rural, central Kansas and we consider ourselves truly mixed-animal. We see all species (except for primates and poisonous things) with an emphasis on beef cow-calf production medicine and small animal. Our clinics are well-equipped and progressive, and our equine, small ruminant and pocket-pet clientele are growing with significant room for equine growth and more production medicine. We have haul-in facilities for all species as well as mobile units for on farm care.
Our teams are comprised of two doctors (both moms) and a super family friendly, team-oriented staff. We focus on education, working with peoples' strengths and caring for our patients and clients alike. We have a zero tolerance for drama from clients or team members.
Our communities and surrounding areas are chalk full of cows and livestock, farm grounds and classically tight knit, rural communities. Our communities are focused on growth and development and welcome you professionals and their families.
