Responsibilities:
Veterinarians at RVUC are responsible for managing the patient care team of technicians and technician assistants in order to facilitate patient flow. You should be able to diagnose common problems such as hot spots, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infection, urinary blockage, etc. and develop a treatment plan. You should also be able to educate patients about the diagnosis and give outpatient guidance until they can follow-up with their primary veterinarian. In addition, timely completion of medical records is required.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should be able to multi-task in a busy environment and be a good team leader. You should have the ability to perform procedures including laceration repair, relieve urinary obstruction as well as common surgeries including spay/neuter, pyometra, foreign body removal, etc.

Case Load:
Patients are evaluated on a walk-in basis with complaints ranging from skin rashes and lacerations to vomiting/diarrhea and potential surgical issues including foreign body and pyometra.
