Responsibilities:
Safe Place for Animals is seeking a compassionate and experienced full-time or part-time Veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical care to our vet clinic’s established and growing client base, as well as our shelter animals. Our vet clinic specializes in small/companion animals, particularly dogs and cats. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Examine, diagnose and prescribe/treat illness, disease and injury .
• Annual/routine wellness and health status exams and care • Administer vaccinations and implant microchips
• Conduct diagnostics (blood, urine, fecal, etc.)
• Prescribe and dispense medication
• Sedation, anesthesia and perform general surgery to include: spay and neuter, dental procedures, growth removal, etc.
• Euthanasia
• Advise/consult pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general pet care
• Record actions by documenting and updating forms, reports, client/patient records
• Ensure compliance with veterinary procedures, ethics, policies and relevant statutes Qualifications:
• Ability to complete full medical work-ups and perform surgery independently Compensation/Benefits:

Qualifications
DVM licensed to practice medicine in the state of TN
