Responsibilities:
• Examine, diagnose, and treat a wide range of animal health conditions in companion animals (e.g., dogs, cats). • Prescribe medications, perform surgical procedures, and administer vaccinations as needed. • Interpret diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, radiographs, and ultrasounds to inform treatment plans. • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognoses, and preventive health care. • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients. • Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and other team members to provide comprehensive care. • Participate in the development and implementation of hospital protocols and policies. • Stay current on advances in veterinary medicine through continuing education and professional development opportunities. • Promote a positive image of the veterinary practice within the community
Qualifications
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution. • Current and valid veterinary license in the state of PA. • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills relevant to general practice. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and client education We welcome new graduates as well as veterinarians of any experience level to apply.

Salary:
Base salary of $105,000-$110,000 (negotiable to start)per year, paid Bi-weekly, in accordance with the practice’s regular payroll schedule. $15,000 sign-on bonus, payable after the successful completion of one (1) year of continuous employment with the practice.

Case Load:
We see a steady, manageable GP caseload with a mix of wellness, sick visits, and routine surgeries. Our doctors typically see 15-20 appointments per day, depending on appointment length and comfort level. We tailor caseload to each doctor’s comfort and strengths. Our caseload is a healthy mix of wellness, internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery. We see a wide range of rescue cases, giving our doctors meaningful medical variety and opportunities for impactful care. We handle most GP cases in-house and refer out advanced orthopedics or critical emergencies. Our case variety provides excellent learning opportunities with strong mentorship. Typical surgical days include spays/neuters, mass removals, dentals, and occasional soft-tissue procedures. We have a 3:1 staff ratio -Experienced CVTs handle blood draws, radiographs, anesthesia monitoring, and client education.
