Responsibilities:
Wellsboro Small Animal Hospital, a privately owned, multi-doctor practice, is seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our team. We are committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients while fostering a supportive and fulfilling work environment for our staff. Our hospital offers a high standard of care through a comprehensive range of services, including: routine & sick care, surgical and dental procedures, digital radiography, cardiac & abdominal ultrasound, and advanced computed tomography (CT) scans. To further ensure consistent and quality care, we are partnered with a board-certified radiologist and board-certified cardiologist. Additional Comments:
Our facility is an 11,000+ square foot hospital that includes two surgical suites, dental suite, treatment and ICU area housing in-house lab equipment, isolation room, CT suite, digital x-ray suite with in-house ultrasound, multiple exam rooms, and a boarding area. In addition to routine and sick care, we offer various in-house procedures. Procedures we offer include routine ovariohysterectomy and castration, mass removals, various intra-abdominal surgery, various ocular surgery, endocrine surgery, amputations, and certain orthopedic procedures. In addition, we provide routine dental prophylaxis with digital intraoral radiography, dental extractions, and intra-oral surgery. We do not currently provide endodontic procedures, intra-thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, or specialized orthopedic procedures (i.e., TPLO, total hip replacement, etc.). We are located in Tioga County in beautiful Northern Pennsylvania, approximately 20 miles from the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Our rural community has continued to grow, increasing the need for more veterinarians. The area offers a wonderful opportunity for those who enjoy all the outdoors has to offer.
