Responsibilities:
We are looking for a full-time, NYS licensed associate veterinarian with 1+ years of experience, or a veterinary student in the last semester of their coursework/in the process of acquiring licensure. For a new or recent grad, we are happy to offer mentorship if requested to help support your success. A candidate should be a passionate professional that can triage animal condition, provide and coordinate patient care within a hospital team, and efficiently document SOAP notes. The individual should be task-oriented in order to thoroughly research animal care, review laboratory results, and effectively communicate patient care plans to pet owners. An associate veterinarian that is determined on improving their skills, is a lifelong learner, and has a deep desire to be invested in the future of Miller Animal Hospital would be a great match.
Qualifications

Case Load:
We build our schedule to meet the needs of the doctors but in general, 30 minutes for wellness visits and 40 minutes for urgent/sick patients. The schedule does get adjusted based on the feedback of the veterinarian.

Miller Animal Hospital is a small, privately-owned, companion animal clinic located outside of Albany, New York. The clinic has been a long standing animal hospital in the community, with some clientele staying with us for over 40 years! We have other clients that travel over an hour to get their pets seen by our dedicated and caring veterinarians. We take pride in what we provide at Miller Animal Hospital and we are looking to add a passionate individual to our staff. The Albany/Troy area has plenty to offer, with a vibrant downtown area and expansive shopping locations. Great outdoor options with the Adirondack and Catskill mountains surrounding the area. NYC and Boston are both under 3 hours away for a fun trip! 3 of our staff members are in technician school that will bring our technician total to 4 when they complete their schooling.
